my identity as a photographer:
communication and expression are the reasons i photograph. i desire to share stories of creation, redemption and the joy and sorrow in between. as a photographer, i am forced into a posture of awareness and reflection through being conscious of both the important and trivial aspects of life. i am reminded of my small presence in an infinitely grand kingdom. because this reminder is forever necessary, i desire to understand my life as a photographer more deeply. my hope is to represent the intricacies of life in a creatively robust fashion in order to display the beauty and complexity of my Creator in a worthy manner.madeleine l'engle's words sum things up lovelily:
"we can be lost in awe at all the people around us, their lives fully of glory and tragedy, and suddenly we will have the beginnings of a painting, a story, a song."
